The Wausau Paranormal Research Society (WPRS) is a group of dedicated individuals who have over 20 years of combined paranormal investigation experience. Formed in 2000 and based in Wausau, Wisconsin we have been conducting investigations throughout state as well as some areas of the greater U.S.  The WPRS seeks to collect evidence to aid in understanding paranormal phenomena and events. We also strive to provide understanding to our clients so that they may coexist with paranormal phenomena that may be present in their dwelling or business.  Our members are drawn from a number of fields, academic, criminal justice, business administration, forestry and communications. Our diverse backgrounds allow the WPRS to approach paranormal investigations from a variety of subject areas.

WPRS conducts professional investigations of reported paranormal phenomena including, but not limited to, UFO sightings, unknown animal sightings, hauntings, poltergeists outbreaks, residual hauntings, apparitions, and any other “ghostly” events. We are Area Representatives of the American Ghost Society and TAPS Family Members representing the State of Wisconsin. Our team members are trained in standard ghost investigation methodology and protocols. WPRS uses a variety of the latest equipment to detect and measure electromagnetic/geomagnetic fields, temperature change, ionizing radiation, audio, and infrared phenomena in an attempt to obtain scientific evidence of paranormal events.

 

The WPRS is available for speaking engagements for your community, service, educational, or social groups. Subjects include Ghost Research and Investigation techniques as well as presentations about various local haunts or paranormal events.
